Oranmiyan Condoles APC Over Osinowo’s Demise
Members of a sociocultural Organisation, Oranmiyan Worldwide have expressed sadness over the sudden demise of Senator Sikiru Adebayo Osinowo, who passed away on Monday morning at the age of 64 after a brief illness.
Oranmiyan, in a condolence message signed by Hon Moruf Olajide Sadiq and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, Osun state capital, commiserated with the leadership of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Lagos and Nigeria over the death of Osinowo, who was during his lifetime representing Lagos East Senatorial District at the Upper Legislative Chamber of the National Assembly.
Describing Osinowo’s death as painful, Sadiq said the kind hearted lawmaker died at a time when party and entire country had just started benefiting from his wealth of political and administrative experience.
Sadiq further explained that the role which was played by Osinowo towards the sustainability of democracy in Nigeria could not be easily forgotten, saying he had contributed immensely to the democracy they are all enjoying in the country.
“We, members of Oranmiyan worldwide wish to express our deep condolence to the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Lagos and Nigeria as a whole, over the death of Senator Sikiru Adebayo Osinowo, who was reportedly died after a brief illness.
“We also express deep sympathy to the family members and political associates of the late Senator. As a matter of fact, Senator Osinowo’s demise had thrown the APC family into mourning. The death of Senator Bayo Osinowo is painful.
“We are saddened by the death of this fine gentleman; a loyal party man and committed democrat, with a deep understanding of the State’s social and political landscape.
“Senator Osinowo was an extremely loyal politician, who started his political journey with the progressives and remained in the fold until his unfortunate exit today. And the roles he played towards the sustainability of democracy could not be easily forgotten. He played a very prominent roles which would continue to linger in the memory of every Nigerians.
“He had served Lagos State and party with dedication, passion and concern for the common man.
“There is no doubt the fact that he would be missed by the entire political class, particularly his immediate constituents in Kosofe, the Lagos East Senatorial District and Lagos State and Nigeria as a whole”, the statement read.
Sadiq pray God to forgive him of his misdeeds and grant him Aljanat Fridaos, just they prayed God to the family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss.
