ATG Hails Bello’s Reported INEC Recognition As Accord Candidate, Pledges Support For 2027
By Ayobami Agboola, Osogbo
A socio-political group, Ayiwola Transparency Group (ATG), has congratulated Mr Ayodeji Lukman Bello following the reported upload of his particulars by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) as the Accord Party’s candidate for the Ayedaade/Iwo/Ola-Oluwa Federal Constituency ahead of the 2027 general election.
The group described Bello’s emergence as a fitting choice, expressing confidence that he possesses the capacity to provide effective representation and attract meaningful development to the constituency.
In a statement issued on Saturday by its National Coordinator, Mr Adebayo Aarinola, ATG commended the leadership of the Accord Party in Osun State for what it described as its commitment to internal democracy and support for Bello’s aspiration.
The group pledged to mobilise support across the constituency to ensure Bello’s victory at the 2027 National Assembly election.
According to the statement, residents of the federal constituency have long desired a representative who is accessible, responsive and committed to advancing the welfare of the people.
“We have been longing for a vibrant candidate who will place the interest of our constituency above every other consideration—a lawmaker the people can identify with and proudly call their own,” the statement said.
It added that Ayiwola Federal Constituency deserves a representative with listening ears who would facilitate impactful projects and ensure that communities in Ayedaade, Iwo and Ola-Oluwa Local Government Areas enjoy their fair share of democratic dividends.
“With Honourable Ayodeji Lukman Bello, we are confident that every part of the constituency will benefit from quality representation and equitable distribution of developmental projects. We believe he has the competence and commitment to justify the confidence of the people,” the group stated.
ATG also commended Governor Ademola Nurudeen Adeleke for allowing what it described as the wishes of the majority to prevail in the party’s decision-making process.
The group reaffirmed its commitment to mobilising support for Governor Adeleke’s re-election in the August 15 Osun State governorship election, expressing optimism that Bello would also emerge victorious in the 2027 National Assembly poll.
