Shafaudeen Founder, Olagoke Predicts Mixed Fortunes For Nigeria In 2026

The Founder and Spiritual Head of Shafaudeen-In- Islam Worldwide, Prof. Sabit Ariyo Olagoke JP, has released his 2026 predictions, warning that the year will bring fluctuating socio-economic and political developments, with progress in some areas and setbacks in others.

In a statement issued from the organisation’s international headquarters in Wakajaye, Ibadan, Prof. Olagoke said 2026 would unfold as “a sinusoidal wave of socio-economic and political flow” affecting both individual wellbeing and national development.

He said the year would favour some groups while proving unfair to others, and predicted heightened political rivalry, economic uncertainty that would later be resolved, renewed attention to education, and intensified security efforts.

According to him: “There would be political rivalry between two notable politicians, but the threat of economic stagnation would be resolved. Education will receive a boost for a better foundation, while efforts at security restoration will be rife across the nation.”

The cleric also expressed concern about moral and religious decline, warning that, “religion would lose its salt and the light would fade,” although he added that efforts at redemption would continue.

He called for reforms in sports administration, caution in air travel following predicted emergency landings, and vigilance against fire incidents, including gas truck and tanker explosions.

Breaking the year down month by month, Prof. Olagoke forecast early political manoeuvring ahead of the 2027 elections, with party leaders training protégés and strengthening internal structures.

He predicted defections between political parties, the collapse of at least one party, and what he described as “political melodrama and propaganda” towards the end of the year.

On the economy, he said growth would be uneven but ultimately positive, noting that, “Economic buoyancy shall be experienced in some months, while government efforts at diversification will gradually stabilise the system.

He adding that corruption and sabotage could undermine progress if not checked.

Education, according to the prediction, would attract government attention and funding, though challenges such as strikes, infrastructure decay and sabotage could slow improvement.

Security agencies were expected to record breakthroughs against criminals and terrorists, even as he warned that some high-profile arrests might not yield immediate results.

Prof. Olagoke also cautioned against road accidents, air mishaps and fire outbreaks throughout the year, urging both prayer and practical safety measures.

“Drivers must be cautious, aircraft must be properly maintained, and safety campaigns are necessary to prevent avoidable loss of lives and property,” he said.

The Islamic leader said the predictions were intended as guidance for proactive governance and responsible leadership, stressing that, “Divine revelations are predictive for proactive measures in management and administration. Good governance is a function of godly leadership, while bad governance is a dividend of bad leadership.

He urged political leaders to embrace tolerance and prioritise citizens’ welfare, and called on religious leaders to promote harmony, discipline and patriotism.

“The essence of this revelation is to help the nation avoid stalemate and safeguard our democracy, ” he noted.
