Shafaudeen Founder, Prof Sabit Olagoke Mourns Passing of Oloye Lekan Alabi

The Founder and Spiritual Head, Shafaudeen-In- Islam Worldwide, and Mojaji Ogueelu Aare Alasa dynasty in Ibadanland, Professor Sabit Ariyo Olagboke JP, has expressed profound grief over the passing of a distinguished son of Ibadanland, High Chief Oloye Lekan Alabi..

In a condolence message signed on behalf of the organization, Prof. Olagoke described the late Chief as an embodiment of wisdom, humility, and unwavering commitment to the growth and unity of Ibadanland and Oyo State.

“The transition of Oloye Lekan Alabi is a great loss not only to Ibadanland but to Yorubaland and Nigeria as a whole. He was a custodian of culture, a voice of reason, and a pillar of community development.His life was defined by service, integrity and dedication to the well-being of the people,” Prof. Olagoke stated.

The Islamic scholar noted that the late Chief was a bridge-builder who promoted peaceful coexistence among people of different faiths and backgrounds, and was always accessible to all regardless of status.

“As a traditional title holder and elder statesman, Oloye Alabi discharged his responsibilities with dignity and honour. He will be remembered for his contributions to cultural preservation, conflict resolution and the advancement of Ibadanland,” he added.

Prof. Olagboke, on behalf of Shafaudeen In Islam Worldwide, extended heartfelt condolences to His Imperial Majesty, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, the Olubadan-in-Council, the immediate family, and the entire people of Ibadan.

He prayed that Almighty Allah forgives the shortcomings of the deceased, accepts his good deeds, and grants him Al-Jannah Firdaus. He also prayed for Allah to grant the family and Ibadanland the fortitude to bear the loss.

“We pray that Allah continues to bless Ibadanland with more leaders of wisdom and service. May the legacy of Oloye Lekan Alabi endure,” the statement concluded
