2027: Oyintiloye Urges APC, Adeleke’s Camp To Unite For Tinubu’s 1.5m Votes
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State, Hon. Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has called on party leaders and other political stakeholders to embrace unity and cooperation to deliver the proposed 1.5 million votes for President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 general elections.
Oyintiloye, a former member of the Osun State House of Assembly, made the appeal while speaking with journalists on Sunday in Osogbo, stressing that unity of purpose was essential to achieving the coalition’s electoral target.
He said following the emergence of Governor Ademola Adeleke as the coordinator of the Presidential Campaign Council in Osun, all stakeholders involved in the arrangement must put aside personal interests and political differences to work towards Tinubu’s re-election.
“We have only one purpose, which is to deliver 1.5 million votes for the President in the state.
“All party leaders and stakeholders in the coalition for the presidential election must shun personal interests and grudges to ensure the President’s electoral victory,” he said.
The APC chieftain warned that internal disagreements and rivalry could undermine the coalition’s objectives, urging its members to avoid actions capable of creating divisions.
He said the success of the political arrangement would depend on the ability of the participating parties to recognise one another’s political relevance, respect their contributions and work as partners with complementary strengths.
Oyintiloye also urged the coalition leadership to develop clear strategies and operational frameworks for grassroots mobilisation ahead of the election.
He recommended a bottom-up mobilisation structure that would cover polling units, wards, local government areas and the state level.
According to him, women, youths, traditional rulers, religious leaders, market associations, artisans, farmers and other community-based groups should be actively involved in the mobilisation process.
He described the proposed alliance involving the APC, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Accord Party in Osun as a political arrangement that required collective commitment and a shared vision to achieve its stated objective.
“All hands must be on deck to achieve this landmark victory for Mr President.
“Personal ambitions, interests, grudges and claims of superiority must be set aside for the collective benefit,” he added.
Oyintiloye further stressed the need for inclusiveness and mutual understanding among the participating parties, saying no stakeholder should feel marginalised in the process.
He expressed confidence that unity, cooperation and an open-minded approach would help the coalition pursue its 1.5 million-vote target for Tinubu in Osun.
The former lawmaker also called on APC members and stakeholders to support the party’s candidates for the National and State Assemblies, urging them to intensify mobilisation efforts ahead of the 2027 elections.
