The Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Osun State Council, has congratulated the NUJ Hails Adefila’s Investment In Osun Tourism, Entertainment and Western Spring Television, Dr Femi Adefila, on the official opening of Rave Arcade and Amusement Park in Osogbo.
The amusement park, which was officially opened on October 31, 2026, is expected to boost recreational activities, tourism and hospitality businesses in Osun State.
The NUJ, in a congratulatory statement jointly signed by its Chairman, Comrade Adeyemi Aboderin, and Secretary, Comrade Olalekan Akindoju, described the investment as a significant milestone and a bold entrepreneurial initiative capable of contributing to the state’s economic development.
The union said the establishment went beyond providing another recreational facility, describing it as a demonstration of vision, creativity and commitment to investments that create economic opportunities and improve residents’ quality of life.
It particularly commended Adefila for extending his entrepreneurial interests beyond the media industry into the entertainment and leisure sector.
According to the Council, his leadership of Rave 91.7FM and Western Spring Television has contributed to the growth of the media industry in Osun State.
The statement noted that the establishment of the amusement park in Osogbo reflected confidence in the state’s economic potential and demonstrated the willingness of private investors to explore opportunities in the tourism and entertainment sectors.
The NUJ said the facility, apart from providing a modern recreational environment for children, young people, families and visitors, could stimulate economic activities, create employment opportunities, support small businesses and strengthen Osun’s position as a destination for leisure and tourism.
“The investment represents more than the addition of another recreational facility to the state; it is a demonstration of vision, creativity, courage and commitment to initiatives capable of creating economic value and improving the quality of life of residents,” the Council stated.
The union also acknowledged Adefila’s contributions to the media industry and his longstanding relationship with the journalism community in Osun State.
It noted that his investments in the media sector had provided platforms for information dissemination, public discourse, professional development and the promotion of issues of public interest.
The Council expressed optimism that Rave Arcade and Amusement Park would grow into a leading entertainment destination, attracting visitors from Osun, neighbouring states and other parts of the country.
It congratulated Adefila, his family, management and staff of the establishment, wishing the facility sustained growth and success in its service to the people.
