The All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate for Osun Central Senatorial District, Kunle Rasheed Adegoke, SAN, has congratulated the Elende of Eko-Ende, His Royal Majesty Oba Abdulwaheed Babatunde Adekunle (FCA), Ayunawa IV, on his elevation to the position of Deputy Chairman of the Osun State Council of Obas.

Adegoke, in a congratulatory message made available to journalists, described the monarch’s elevation as a well-deserved recognition of his exemplary leadership, commitment to the welfare of his people and contributions to the development of the traditional institution in Osun State.

He said Oba Adekunle had consistently demonstrated that traditional leadership remained an important pillar of unity, stability, community development and responsible public engagement.

According to him, the monarch’s leadership has also shown that the preservation of cultural heritage can go hand in hand with economic development, social progress and improved living conditions for the people.

Adegoke said, “This well-deserved elevation is a fitting recognition of your exemplary leadership, unwavering commitment to the welfare of your people and significant contributions to the preservation and advancement of the traditional institution in Osun State.”

The APC candidate commended the monarch for his persistent advocacy for critical infrastructure, particularly the reconstruction of the Ikirun–Ogbomoso road and the completion of the bridge over the Oore/Ilie River.

He said such advocacy reflected the monarch’s understanding of the importance of infrastructure to the development of communities.

“Your persistent advocacy for critical infrastructure, particularly the reconstruction of the Ikirun–Ogbomoso road and the completion of the bridge over the Oore/Ilie River, reflects your understanding of the vital role infrastructure plays in connecting communities, promoting commerce, enhancing security and unlocking the economic potential of our people,” he said.

Adegoke described the elevation as not only a source of pride to the people of Eko-Ende but also a significant development for Osun State, noting that the monarch’s experience and wisdom would contribute to strengthening the traditional institution across the state.

He said, “It provides an opportunity for your wealth of wisdom, experience and developmental vision to contribute even more meaningfully to the growth and strengthening of the traditional institution across the state.”

The APC senatorial candidate expressed confidence that the monarch would discharge his new responsibility with dignity, fairness, courage and integrity.

He added that Oba Adekunle would continue to serve as a strong voice for Eko-Ende, Osun Central and the broader interests of the people.

Adegoke prayed for the monarch’s continued good health, wisdom and longevity on the throne, while wishing him success in his new responsibility.

“May Almighty God grant Your Majesty enduring good health, abundant wisdom and many more fruitful years on the throne as you take on this noble responsibility,” he said.
