I Will Resuscitate IIJ If Elected, Osun NUJ Aspirant

Comrade Bukola Elufadejin, an aspirant for the post of Secretary in the forthcoming OSUN NUJ election has assured his teeming supporters and admirers that he would bring about unrivalled improvement into the union if voted into the office.

Comrade Bukola made this remark while addressing members of the union across the chapels in the State Council .

As part of his effort to bring back live into the Secretariat,he promised to facilitate deployment of two corps members who will be journalists in training to always be in the secretariat to attend to members when officials are engaged outside the Secretariat and to afford them to gain practical experience in the profession.

He also frowned at lack of adequate data of members in the secretariat. As custodian of Secretariat, he pledged to embark on compilation of adequate data of professional journalists across the state for adequate planning.

Comrade Elufadejin promised to look into resuscitation of IIJ in order to allow members who wants to study Journalism.

He further assured members that there would be regular visits to chapels across the council to identify with members who may not find it easy to attend congresses due to exigencies of offices.

Born over four decades ago in the ancient town of Ile Ife ,Comrade Bukola graduated with B. A ( hons) English from University of Ilorin in 1999 and later bagged Post graduate diplomas in Local Government and Journalism.

He was the Editor in Chief ‘The Torch Bearer’ and Editor ,’The Bell Magazine.

Comrade Elufadejin served as the pioneer Secretary of NUJ Local Government Infirmation Chapel between 2012 and 2018 and through bye election became the State Financial Secretary of NUJ Osun State Council between 2019 and 2020.

He is an Associate member of Nigeria Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) and Associate Member of Institute of Social Work of Nigeria. (ISOWN).He is currently the Head of Department of Information and Social Development, Olorunda Local Government, Igbonna Osogbo.

He is happily married with promising children.
