Bashorun Adewoye Congratulates Adeleke, Says Re-election Affirms Osun’s Confidence In His Leadership

A leading member of the Accord Party in the Diaspora and founder of La-Bash Foundation, Bashorun Opeyemi Yusuf Adewoye, has congratulated Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Adeleke, on his victory in the August 15 governorship election.

Adewoye, popularly known as La-Bash, described Adeleke’s re-election as a clear demonstration of the confidence reposed in his administration by the people of the state.

In a congratulatory message personally signed by him on Sunday, Adewoye said the governor’s victory was an affirmation of the people’s appreciation of what he described as the achievements recorded by the administration during its first term.

He said the renewed mandate would provide Adeleke with an opportunity to consolidate on the gains of his first term and deliver more dividends of democracy to the people of Osun.

“I am extremely delighted by the outcome of the Osun Governorship election, which is an affirmation of the overwhelming confidence that the people have in Governor Ademola Adeleke’s leadership, vision and desire for the continuity of good governance,” Adewoye said.

“By choosing to renew Governor Adeleke’s mandate, Osun people have demonstrated their appreciation for the incredible work done in the first term and strong belief that the second term will bring even more delivery of the dividends of democracy.”

Adewoye, while congratulating Adeleke on what he described as a well-deserved victory, commended the people of Osun State for choosing what he called a clear direction of progress and development.

He said: “Governor Adeleke is an excellent administrator who has transformed lives and the physical outlook of our dear state through effective governance, and his re-election is the prevalence of good governance over empty rhetoric.”

According to him, the outcome of the election would enable the governor to sustain and expand programmes aimed at improving the welfare of the people, particularly workers and pensioners.

He added that the renewed mandate would also provide room for the administration to pursue further urban renewal projects, healthcare development and structured support for young people across the state.

“The re-election of Governor Adeleke is a huge win for Osun people. With this victory comes clarity of purpose and, as such, will sustain a sense of hope that the wheel of progress and development in Osun State will not be circumvented,” he said.

Adewoye urged the governor to use his second term to pursue more projects and policies that would have direct impact on the lives of residents and transform communities across the state.

He also called on Adeleke to develop a workable framework that would enable Osun indigenes and residents in the Diaspora to contribute meaningfully to the development of the state.

He wished the governor a successful second term, urging him to make the renewed mandate an opportunity to achieve more landmark accomplishments for the people of Osun State.
