Osun 2026: Kafayat Oyetola Leads APC Women, ‘Akoni Obinrin’ On Victory Walk For AMBO

The wife of the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Mrs. Kafayat Oyetola, on Saturday led members of the Akoni Obinrin Movement on a victory walk in Osogbo to mobilise grassroots support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), ahead of the August 15, 2026 governorship election.

The procession, which attracted hundreds of women supporters, moved through major streets of the Osun State capital before terminating at the Tinubu/Shettima Campaign Office in Ogo-Oluwa, Osogbo.

Speaking with journalists at the end of the walk, Mrs. Oyetola said the movement had established a strong grassroots structure across the state, with coordinators in all 3,763 polling units.

She explained that the group’s primary assignment would be to educate voters on the proper voting process and embark on door-to-door mobilisation to ensure that every vote cast for the APC counts.

Mrs. Oyetola described Oyebamiji as a competent administrator with vast experience in both the public and private sectors, expressing confidence in his capacity to provide purposeful leadership and accelerate development in Osun State.

In his remarks, the APC governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, commended the women for their enthusiasm and described the exercise as a “Victory Walk.”

He urged them to sustain the grassroots mobilisation and come out in large numbers to vote for the APC in the August 15 governorship election, assuring residents that his administration would restore development and transform critical sectors across the state if elected.
