Easter: Osun Assembly Aspirant, Asiri Ede congratulates Christians, seeks support for Oyebamiji

Alhaji AbdulLateef Olalekan popularly known as Asiri Ede, aspiring member of the Osun State House of Assembly for Ede South Constituency, has congratulated Nigerian Christians as they celebrate Easter, which marks the end of Lent and the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

Olalekan, in his Easter message personally issued and made available to journalists in Osogbo, on Saturday, urged Christians to observe and emulate the teachings of Jesus Christ, whom he described as a “perfect role model for all.”

He also enjoined Christians to continue to pray for Nigeria and the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu even after the Lent period.

According to him, Easter is a time to reflect on the values of sacrifice, love, hope, and renewal.

He urged citizens to draw inspiration from the celebration, promoting unity, peace, and joy within their communities.

While charging Osun residents on the need to continue to maintain peaceful coexistence, Olalekan urged them to eschew any act capable of causing religious disharmony in the state.

He also implored them to continue to pray for the development of the state and Nigeria as a whole, noting that prayers have indeed attracted divine intervention to socio-economic, political and religious issues that have torn other nations apart.

Olalekan, who is vying to represent Ede South at the Osun State House of Assembly on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), used the festive period to appeal to Christians and entire people of the state to pray for the success of the party and its governorship candidate Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.

He assured the residents of the state that the party candidate has all what takes to bring dividends of democracy to every nooks and crannies of the state , if emerge victorious.

“As we commemorate the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ, may we all be uplifted with renewed hope for a brighter and prosperous future,” he said, wishing families and loved ones a blessed and joyful Easter.

The aspirant reaffirmed his commitment to the people of Ede South Constituency, linking the spirit of Easter to the ideals of service, hope, and community development.
