Why I Am Contesting To Represent Ede South Constituency- Asiri Ede

A grassroot political mobiliser, Alhaji Abdullateef Olalekan, popularly known as Asiri Ede has met with members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ede South Constituency to formally declare his intention to represent the constituency at the Osun State House of Assembly.

Speaking during the meeting, Asiri Ede, assured party members of his readiness to provide effective and responsive representation if given the opportunity to serve the constituency, while soliciting for their support.

Asiri Ede who submitted letter of intention to party Chairman during the meeting said: “I have come to formally inform you of my intention and to seek your support. With your backing, I am confident we can achieve success together,

“As a core progressive and grassroot political mobiliser, I have been consistent within the party and I have remained loyal even during difficult political moments.

“I have never been the type that jumps from one political party to another. Even when things were not smooth in the party, I intend to focus on community-based development, youth engagement, and stronger linkages between the people and government.” He said.

The aspirant also endorsed the APC governorship aspirant, Bola Oyebamiji, expressing confidence in his leadership capacity and vision for the State.

He urged party members to desist from any activities that could trigger crisis with the oppositions, while also cautioning opposition parties against engaging in actions that may cause crisis.

In their remarks, the Ede South APC Chairman, Alhaji Kazeem Oluogun commended Asiri Ede for his courage and commitment to the party, wishing him success in his political pursuit.

He expressed appreciation for his consistency and engagement within the party, offering prayers for the success of his ambition.

Present at the meeting are: Honourable Ojo Johnson, Chairman APC elders council in Ede South, Alhaja Sherifat Adekanmi, former Council Chairperson, Honourable Ojo Babawale, former Chairman, APC Elders council, Alhaji Wasiu Adediji, State officer among others.
