Kidnapped Osogbo Housewife, Child Regain Freedom
The Osogbo house wife, Mrs Olayinka Tosin Kayode who was kidnapped by gunmen alongside her child have regained her freedom.
Mrs Olayinka, a member of the Union Baptist Church, Odi-olowo, Osogbo was kidnapped by unknown gunmen around Otaefun/Kobongboe area of Osogbo while returning home from her shop around 6PM on Tuesday 24th January, 2023.
The release of the woman was confirmed on Thursday in Osogbo, Osun State by Rev. Sunday Adeoye, a Senior Pastor of Union Baptist Church, Odi-Olowo, Osogbo.
He confirmed the information in a statement released by the Public Relations Officer of the Church, Mr. Oluwamayowa Fagbohungbe.
Mrs Tosin and her child according to information were found in Ibadan, Oyo state where they were being abandoned by their abductors having noticed that security agents were after them.
The Senior Pastor, Union Baptist Church, Odi-Olowo, Osogbo, Rev. Dr. Sunday Adediwura Adeoye who announced the good news appreciated the people for their prayers and support.
He confirmed the information in a statement released by the Public Relations Officer of the Church, Mr. Oluwamayowa Fagbohungbe.
Rev. Dr. Adeoye appreciates the Almighty God, the security agencies, distinguished members of the press, Union Baptist Church Osogbo family and the general public for their prayers, show of concern and camaraderie received.
The Clergy stressed; ” On behalf of the family of Engr. Abayomi Kayode and the entire Union Baptist Church Osogbo family, I express my profound appreciation to first to the Almighty God for answering our prayers, our gallantry security agencies, distinguished members of the press, Osun Baptist Conference President, Rev. Dr. Paul Kolawole, the entire Christian Community and all and sundry for their prayers and most particularly for standing by us during the period”
Dr. Adeoye prayed; “May the Almighty God rid our dear nation of all forms of criminality and insecurity.” the statement ended.
