Osun Tribunal Judgement : Police Warn Troublemakers To Keep Off Verdict Venue
As the Osun State governorship election petition tribunal is set to deliver its judgment tomorrow, Friday, 27th of January 2023, The Osun State Police has warned the general public to stay away from the venue as he assured the public of adequate security before, during and after the judgment.
The Command said it would not tolerate any act capable of causing a crisis in the state, as the Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal, delivers its judgement.
According to a press statement issued and made available to newsmen by the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, SP Opalola Yemisi Olawoyin, on behalf of the state Commissioner of Police, the Police in collaboration with other security agencies in the State had put all necessary security measures in place to deal decisively within the ambit of the law with anyone, group of persons who might attempt to foment trouble.
“Therefore, Osun State Police Command is using this medium to appeal to parents and guardians to warn their children and wards to stay out of trouble/violence.
“They should not allow themselves to be used by any vicious politicians to cause crisis in the State as the command will not tolerate any kind of thuggery or hooliganism.”
The CP enjoined the good people of the State to go about their lawful daily activities without fear of molestation.
