JUST IN: NASC Appoints Tambuwal Acting CNA
The National Assembly Service Commission (NASC) has appointed Mr Sani Magaji Tambuwal as acting Clerk to the National Assembly.
Tambuwal until his appointment was the Secretary of Finance and Accounts of the National Assembly.
His appointment and those of others were contained in a circular released and signed by the Executive Chairman, National Assembly Service Commission NASC, Engr Ahmed Kadi Amshi FNSE, after the former CNA, Architect Amos Olatunde Ojo proceeded on retirement leave.
Others appointed are Mr Ogunlana Kamoru as Deputy Clerk of the National Assembly (DCNA), Mrs Henrietta Aimua Ehikioya is moved from secretary for special duties to secretary for legal services, Mr Birma Shuaibu M. Director, legislative, now Ag Secretary, Human Resources Directorate.
Others are Mr Umar Barde Ali, Director, Pharmacy moved to Ag Secretary, Research and Information of the National Assembly, Mr Omogbehin Yomi V. becomes Ag Secretary, Special Duties and Mr Iyang Clement Titus, Ag Secretary, Finance and Accounts, while Mr Nwoba Andrew O. is to resume as Ag Secretary, Planning and Legislative Budget.
The appointments were in line with the approval of the commission and a memorandum presented by the committee to the secretary establishment, records and training of the commission and the need to fill the existing vacancies in the national assembly management team.
NASC directed the outgoing clerk, Amos Olatunde Ojo, to work with the new Ag CNA until his exit date of February 14, 2023 to ensure the early transmission of the 2023 appropriation bill’s processing with strict compliance to the authentication act and transmission ‘only’, by the substantive Ag CNA.
