Osun APC Crisis: NNPP Chair, Odeyemi Calls On Genuine Osun Elders To Intervene

—Says APC Should Handover Power To Them In Peace

Prince (Dr ) Tosin Odeyemi, the state chairman of NNPP who doubles as the IPAC secretary, has called on the founding fathers of Osun state to shun party politics and wade into the ongoing crisis in APC.

It would be recalled that some hoodlums attacked Oranmiyan House, a property belonging to former Osun state governor,and current Minister of Interior, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, yesterday evening.

Since the attack, it has been a usual trade blame between The Osun Progressives (TOP) and the state government, prompting the government to charge the police boss in the state to fish out the perpetrators in no distance time.

But Odeyemi, considering the effects of these incessant power play between the loyalists of Governor Oyetola and Ogbeni Aregbesola, implored the genuine elders in the state to wade in.

He noted that just within this week, three chaos were reported in the state. First at Ikirun, also in Ijebu-jesa before the recent one in Osogbo.

According to him, where two elephants fight, grass suffers. So as to avoid unnecessary panic and loss of innocent lives in the state, the crisis must be nip on the bud.

He said, “This is becoming unbearable, elders in Osun; irrespective of their parties, should rise to this occasion. Election is still five months away, why creating unnecessary panic for people?

“If truly their party has the love of people at heart, both sides must sheath their swords now. They should call themselves together and settle whatever grievances they have against one another, they should not turn Osun into a theater of war.

As for us in NNPP, we know that APC ruling days will soon be over in Osun, they should hand over power to our party in peace come July 16, 2022”, he concluded.
