Address Incessant Killings on Plateau, ADP Charge Governor Lalong

The Action Democratic Party, ADP, Plateau State Chapter has called on the Governor of the state, Rt Hon Simon Bako Lalong to address the case of incessant killings in the state and provide palliatives to affected communities.

ADP made the call in a press statement issued and singed by the party’s Publicity Secretary in the state, Hon. Danjuma Dickson Auta, a copy was sent to CityMirrorNews.

The party alledged that the Governor knows the brain behind the attacks urging him to bring rhe culprits to justice.

The statement read: “However, our party, the Action Democratic Party in the state wish to call on the Executive Governor of Plateau State to urgently swing into action by making sure that his government put an end to all the senseless killings taking place all over the state and to ensure that the culprit are fetch out and made to face the full wrath of the law.

“ADP is aware that government knows the brain behind all these attacks in the state and must do everything possible to stop it as it is its responsibility to protect lives and properties of the citizens.

“The Party also wish to call on Governor Simon Lalong to immediately release some palliative measures so as to cushion the suffering of all the communities of Mangu, Bokkos and the Irigwe lands.”

Danjuma equalled called on security agencies to be alive to their responsibilities which is to secure lives and properties of Nigerians.

“The party in the state is equally calling on the Task Force, Operation Safe Haven in the state to do everything possible to protect lives and properties of all citizens so as to give the people confidence in their professionalism.”

The party called on citizens of the state to device a means of self defense in lieu of perpetual lamentation, “ADP as a sensible political party concern with the sanctity of life would not advise Irigwe and other citizens of the state who have continued to suffer such attacks to continue to live in lamentations but to also device other means of self defense even as they continue to live peacefully with neighbours and lovers of peace around them.”

ADP also condoled with the berieved families, and Irigwe community over the attacks and killings in Irigwe Chiefdom in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau state.

“The Party wish to express our condolences to the Bra Ngwe Irigwe, HRH. Rev. Ronku Aka, Districts Heads of Kwall and Miango, Chairman and Exco Irigwe Development Association, Irigwe Youth Movement and the good and Peace loving people of Irigwe over the unfortunate incidences of brutal attacks and killing of its citizens in the villages of Ngbrra Zongo, Ancha, and Hukke and Nkiedonwro. Indeed these are attacks too numerous to mention and ADP as a political party is saddened by these unfortunate acts of senseless killings of innocent citizens and the destruction of foods and properties.

“We as a political party highly sympathetize with families that have lost their loved ones and prayed for comfort from above.”
