IBEDC Embarks On Rehabilitation Exercise In Ife To Improve Power Supply

The management of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has said it has embarked on a three weeks rehabilitation exercise of the AP Injection Sub- Station, at May Fair, Ile-Ife Business Hub in Osun state.
The decision to embark on the rehabilitation according to IBEDC was part of the company’s determination to improve power supply to its esteem customers in Osun especially Ife township.
This is made known in a statement signed by the Regional Communication Officer, Osun Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company, Kikelomo Owoeye, and made available to CityMirrorNews in Osogbo, on Tuesday.
The rehabilitation works according to the statement would involve the two I5MVA transformers and other infrastructure at the AP injection Sub-Station servicing Ile-Ife Township.
“Also, to be affected are the four feeders supplying power to Ife Township namely: Ibadan road, Parakin, Lagere and Orona feeders. The project commenced on Monday 10th, June 2019 till Monday 1st, July 2019.
“However, as a customer friendly company, we are doing everything possible to ensure the rehabilitation works is completed speedily. The outage will only affect the customers on the specific feeders to be worked on to alleviate the inconveniences the rehabilitation process could cause within that period.
“In view of these we want to urge all our customers to bear with us during the disruption in power supply and watch over the transformers in their communities to prevent it from being vandalised while the rehabilitation process is going on.
“We apologise sincerely for any inconveniences the rehabilitation works will cause our esteemed customers as it is aimed at improving power supply.
