AT Last, Omisore’S Camp Loses Out in Osun PDP, To Boycott Congress

Governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the 2014 governorship election in Osun state, Senator Iyiola Omisore might have been technically excused from the party, as his faction has lost out to the Soji Adagunodo’s camp in the congress that starts today.

CityMirrorNews gathered that the candidates from Omisore’s camp in the congress were not issued form to participate in the congress by the party’s electoral body, because they did not meet up with the requirement for the contest.
It was learnt that the contestants from the Omisore’s camp paid for their intention forms some two-three days ago at the party secretariat in Osogbo.
They were however, denied the form because they have not paid the annual due of the party, which is a requirement to obtain the form.
According to sources within the PDP, payment for the annual due closed on Friday and the candidates from the Omisore’s camp did not come to the party secretariat to show evidence of payment for the annual due.
As the ward congress starts today, none of the candidates from Omisore’s camp has the form to contest in the congress.
CityMirrorNews learnt that the Omisore’s faction of the party might boycott the congress and protest their technical exclusion from the congress today.
