Ex-convict Docked Again For Stealing Fowl In Osun

A 32-year-old ex-convict, Gbenga Daramola on Monday arraigned before a Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo, the state capital for allegedly stealing fowl belonging to one Saka Mojirade
The Prosecutor, Inspector Rasaki Olayiwola had told the court that the accused person on August 23, 2017, at about 5:30pm at Balogun Biro, Oke-Baale, Osogbo broke into the house of Saka Mojirade and stole four baby cloth valued N15,000, one fowl worth N3,000, two crates of empty Coca Cola bottles valued N4,000 and one huawe valued N18,000.
Olayiwola added that the offences committed by Daramola were contrary to and punishable under Sections 516,411,412 and 319 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Volume II Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2003.
It was gathered that the accused had recently been released from Abuja prison.
According to Prosecutor, the accused was charged on four-count charge bordering on theft, burglary among others.
While the accused pleaded not guilty on the offense preferred against him, his Counsel, Barrister Nagite Olkobe applied for his bail in the most liberal terms.
In her ruling, Magistrate Fatimah Sodamade granted the accused the bail in the sum of N100,000 with one surety in like sum
She thereafter, adjourned the till to 26 October for mention.
