Ebube Obio: My Life, Safety Not Guaranteed After APC Campaign Appearance
Nollywood actress and comedian, Oluebube Obio, popularly known as Ebube Obio, has broken her silence following the backlash that greeted her appearance at an All Progressives Congress (APC) campaign event.
The 22-year-old actress, who addressed the controversy in a post on her Instagram page, claimed that she was forced to attend the political gathering.
Obio also expressed concern over her safety, saying she felt uncomfortable and stressed during the event.
The actress’ reaction came after videos of her presence at the APC campaign surfaced online, generating reactions from Nigerians who questioned her decision to attend the political gathering.
However, explaining her presence, Obio suggested that there were circumstances surrounding her appearance that were not known to the public.
According to her, she was allegedly being blackmailed and compelled to participate in the event.
“I was actually forced to be in such settings; my life and safety are not guaranteed. If you watch the video closely, I myself felt so much discomfort and stress,” she said.
Obio further stated that she would expose those allegedly responsible for the blackmail when the time was right.
“When the time is right, I will expose the people blackmailing me; the least you can do is to pray for me,” she added.
The actress, however, did not identify the individuals she accused of forcing or blackmailing her, nor did she provide details about the circumstances surrounding her appearance at the campaign.
Her comments have continued to generate reactions on social media, with fans and members of the public expressing concern over the allegations and calling for clarification.
