Africa Solidarity Movement Harps On Unity To Accomplish Speedy Development In Africa

-Confers Awards Of Excellence On Prominent Africans

A non governmental organization, Africa Solidarity Movement (ASM) has restated the need for unity among countries in Africa, as part of ways to drive speedy pace of development in the continent.

New Telegraph reports that ASM was founded at Republic of Coted’ Ivoire with other West African countries partner with Africa Solidarity Movement to promote African heritage and culture.

In a statement signed by the Secretary General African Solidarity Movement (ASM) Nigeria Amb Abdulmajeed Oladimeji Oyeniyi, and made available to CityMirrorNews in Osogbo, on Monday, harped on the need for Africans to as a matter of urgency chart her course towards becoming productive, while maintaining her rightful position globally.

Ambassador Oyeniyi said, the event which took place recently in Ghana, notable African sons and daughters of African countries were given an award of excellence in recognition of their contributions to the development of their respective countries.

“ASM summit served as a platform for young people from across African countries to learn, network, and share ideas on issues that affect their lives.

“During our summit which took place in Ghana , we honored some prominent African sons and daughters who have contributed immensely to the development of their countries.

“The event , brought together young people, policymakers, development partners, and international Organizational and afforded the participants the ample opportunity to discuss the Challenges facing young people in Africa and to develop innovative solutions to address these Challenges”

“We also reiterated on the need to ensure unity among the countries in Africa, as part of the part of ways to drive speedy pace of development in the continent.

“We called for an increase in investment in economic and social development factors to improve the development index of African nations.

Senator Nurudeen Ademola jackson Adeleke (Ambassador of Nigeria Youth); Mr Salihu Demos, The Director General of Nigeria Television Authority as (Ambassador of Youth in Africa); High chief Ibrahim Gwaggo (Ambassador of Youth in Africa); High chief Dr Adi Pajo
Ambassador of Youth in Africa; General Christopher Musa OFR; Chief of Defence Nigeria; Ambassador of Youth in Africa; High chief Habeeb Okunola (Ambassador of Youth in Africa).
