400 Nigerians Deported From UAE Arrive In Abuja
No fewer than four hundred Nigerians, including 90 females and 310 males deported from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have arrived in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
The deportees arrived at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport on Wednesday, September 11, and were welcomed by a coordinated effort from several agencies.
The reception of the deportees was managed by the office of the National Security Adviser in collaboration with key organizations, including the National Commission for Refugees, Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI), the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons (NAPTIP), and the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).
These agencies, along with other stakeholders, worked together to ensure the safe arrival and initial support for the deportees.
The deportation follows a series of measures by UAE authorities to address immigration and legal issues involving Nigerian nationals.
The returning individuals will now undergo assessments and receive support services from Nigerian agencies to aid their reintegration into society.
