Nollywood Actor Solomon Akiyesi Dies In Abuja
Nollywood actor and entrepreneur, Solomon Akiyesi, has died.
His death was confirmed on Monday by the President of the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN), Abubakar Yakubu, who said the actor passed away in his sleep on Sunday.
Yakubu disclosed that Akiyesi’s body has been deposited in a mortuary in Abuja, adding that the guild is still awaiting further details from his family regarding the circumstances surrounding his death.
“He slept and did not wake up. We await further details from the family. His body is in the morgue in Abuja, where the incident happened,” he said.
Akiyesi, who hailed from Edo State, was active in Nollywood for several years and built a reputation through his roles in various films.
He featured in productions such as Heart of a Saint, Desperate Ladies, Pretty Liars, and Bridge of Contract.
His death has sparked reactions among colleagues and fans, with tributes beginning to pour in on social media.
The late actor was widely regarded as a dedicated performer whose contributions spanned both acting and entrepreneurship within the industry.
