Court Remands 2 Ministry Staff Over Alleged N12m Job Racketeering

The Independent Corruption Practices and Other Related Offences (ICPC) has arraigned Ndubuisi Cheneme of the Federal Ministry of Trade and Investment and Godwin Takat of the Ministry of Works and Housing at an FCT High Court 31 Abuja over allegations bordering on obtaining by false pretences and employment racketeering.

They were accused of defrauding unsuspecting jobseekers to the tune of over N12 million only.

Spokesman for the agency Demola Seriki said the defendants were arraigned on nine counts of obtaining the said amount from their victims by false pretences.
