2027: I’ll Bring Government Closer To The Grassroots — Mr GRA Assures Ibadan North Constituency 1
The Oyo State House of Assembly candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for Ibadan North Constituency 1, Hon. Abdulganeey Abdulrasaq Adekunle popularly known as Mr GRA, has assured constituents that he will bring governance and development closer to the people if elected.
Hon Adekunle, a broadcaster and media entrepreneur gave the assurance while speaking with journalists in Ibadan. He lamented that Ibadan North Constituency 1 has lacked effective representation, accusing the current occupant of failing to make any meaningful impact on the lives of the people.
The Oyo Assembly hopeful, who is the President of the Association of Nigeria Broadcasters ( AMBROAD) and Chief Executive Officer of TNM Media Academy, a private media and management institute that has produced graduates excelling in various fields, said his representation will be anchored on economic empowerment and people-oriented programmes.
According to him, his priority will be economic empowerment for women and traders through grants and interest-free loans to boost their businesses.
He also disclosed plans to support students through scholarship schemes, free JAMB and WAEC coaching classes, and payment of school fees for indigent students to make life more comfortable for the less privileged.
The Oyo Assembly hopeful said even without being elected, he has been touching lives in the constituency, citing the distribution of solar-powered streetlights to different communities and the recent renovation of Nawair-Ud-Deen Primary School after the community sought his assistance.
“I have assisted a lot of people even without being elected, paying school fees, giving succour and hope to the people. I promise to do more when elected,” he said.
On the forthcoming governorship election, Hon. Adekunle urged the people of Oyo State to support the APC governorship candidate, whom he described as the man coming to rescue Oyo State, and to vote for all APC candidates in the general elections.
He expressed confidence that he remains the best candidate to restore hope and deliver the desired development to the people of Ibadan North Constituency 1.
