A course championed by PDP Southwest Youth Collaborators under the leadership of the zone’s charismatic Youth Leader, Comrade Seyi Bamidele.

The Zonal Youth Leader of the PDP in the South west, Comrade Seyi Bamidele has made known his decision to lead a formidable team of young party leaders to Campaign for the emergence of the Former Osun State Governor, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola as the new National Chairman of the Party.

Seyi Bamidele made this known in a release signed by him today in Osogbo.
The zonal Youth Leader, Comrade Seyi Bamidele, alongside other young stakeholders from the 6 states of the south west zone will set out on request visitation to PDP party idols and stakeholders across the country. The schedule of activities will be rolled out soon and shall be made available to public domain.

It’s our hope that the party leadership at the national level will, for equity fairness and justice zone the position of the party Chairman to Southwest this time around.

According to Seyi, it’s rampant on the lips of an average Nigerian that the government of APC under the auspices of Gen. Muhammadu Buhari has failed woefully in delivering good governance in the country.

However, as easy as this agitation for new deal appears it’s an herculean task to wrestle power from the incumbent, most especially the ones we have now that have no iota of regard for human lives let alone fair electoral processes and they’re no respecter of law or rules of law therefore it’s imperatively incumbent on our party to look inwardly and strategically position ourselves to make the task of reclaiming Nigeria as easy as envisaged.

Nigerians are seriously calling for the rescue team and the only alternative left is our great party, People’s Democratic Party. Records abound that PDP is a better manager of the country’s economy than these locusts apc.

It’s equally evidently shown that its only in PDP that NIGERIA can find personalities of substance that would sail the nation back to the path of greatness at this crucial period that the apc has almost wreck it’s ship. The recent gunning for former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan to be their flag bearer in 2023 is a clear picture that apc has no substance.

Be that as it may, all the resounding resources that our party is endowed with must be adequately managed by an experienced personality with undisputable track records of achievements else the human and capital resources, if not properly utilized will be a waste.

In view of these, for effective delivery of the party major assignment to escort back PDP into power at the Federal level come 2023 and beyond -an Olagunsoye Oyinlola is needed.

His Excellency, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola is a political icon , an institution known to all and sundry which needs no introduction again.

Why Southwest?
People’s Democratic Party was birthed about 23 years ago having successive Chairmen as follow:
Dr. Alex Ekwueme as the pioneer Chairman in 1998.*(SE)*
Chief Solomon Lar 1998-99 *(NC)*
Chief Barnabas Gemade 1999-01 *(NC)*
Chief Audu Ogbeh 2001-05 *(NC)*
Col. Ahmad Ali 2005-08 *(NC)*
Prince Vincent Ogbulafor 2008-10 *(SE)*
Dr. Okwesili Nwodo 2010 *(SE)*
Dr. Haliru Mohammed 2010 *(NW)*
Alhaji Kawu Baraje 2011-14 *(NC)*
Dr. Bamanga Tukur 2012-14 *(NW)*
H.E Adamu Mu’azu 2014-15 *(NE)*
Sen. Ali Modu Sherrif 2015-16 *(NE)*
H.E Ahmed Makarfi 2015-16 *(NC)*
Prince Uche Secondus 2017-date *(SS)*
So far so good 14 Chairmen have presided over the party in the last 23 years. These Chairmen spread across the rest 5 Geopolitical zones leaving southwest . It’s our believe that the southwest should produce the National Chairman this time around and we must field a responsive and knowledgeable candidate whose track records should beat any of the Chairmen ever produced.

We understand that some standards below the belt of those that have presided over the party may want to throw in their caps that’s why we want to step out to embark on sensitization and orientation of PDP stakeholders across the country starting from the southwest.
