Evang. Moses further explained that the philanthropic gesture was aimed at extending helping hands to the vulnerable and the needy at this trying time saying though, this is not the first time the church would be reaching out to the aged and needy.

He urged the people of Osogbo and Osun state as a whole to continue to adhere strictly and ensure full compliance with the government directives over COVID-19.

“This distribution of food items is expected to alleviate the suffering of the people as a result of the sit-at-home directives over the COVID-19 spread.

“The distribution is designed to touch most of the residents of the state.

“I am sure we may not be able to reach everyone, but we will try our best within our capacity,” Evang. Moses said.

“The church even before the outbreak had embarked on operation feed the needy said many aged and needy have benefited from the gesture.

“We have started Operation feed the needy since April 12 till date while we extend our love to the needy in putting food on their tables. The reason for the gesture was to ensure that members and other residents stayed well, even as they stayed at home in this trying time.

“And before the lockdown, the Church has joined the whole world in sensitizing the people of Osun that the instructions given to us by the state government is for our own good and safety.

“We tell them that Prayer is not everything but precaution help prayer to work more faster.
