Actor Chris Bassey Leaves Nollywood For Plumbing Job In Canada
Renowned Nigerian movie producer and actor, Chris Bassey, has taken a surprising turn in his career, leaving the entertainment industry to pursue plumbing in Canada.
Bassey made this revelation during a live Instagram chat with popular media personality, Daddy Freeze.
During the conversation, Bassey shared insights into his new life abroad, stressing that his shift into plumbing offers him better financial rewards and a more relaxed lifestyle compared to tech jobs.
When asked by Daddy Freeze about his current career path, Bassey responded, “I’m into construction here.” Daddy Freeze, visibly taken aback by the news, pressed further, wondering why someone as famous as Bassey would abandon acting and producing.
In response, Bassey explained in Nigerian Pidgin, “In the last seven months, the province I have visited just on weekends in Canada, even person wey dey do tech no fit afford am. For here, I don’t know about the UK or US.”
