Drama As Lawyer Denounces Defendant Over Weighty Allegation

A mid drama ensued at an Osun State Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo,on Tuesday when a lawyer Taiwo Awokunle denounced his client in the open court over massive allegations against the defendant.
The defendant, Kazeem Oseni was arraigned on different charges bothering as stealing, fraud and threat to life.
When the first charge containing two counts of land fraud and stealing of 1,071,000, was read to the defendant. He pleaded not guilty and his counsel urged the court to grant him bail.
He was granted bail in the sum of 1 million with one surety in like sum.
The second charge containing three counts of stealing blocks, two tippers loads of gravel, and sand all valued at 452,000, and threat to life, was read to the defendant.
The court also granted him bail in the sum of N500,000 with one surety in like sum.
However, a drama played out when the prosecutor, Fagbayinbo Abiodun brought out the third charge containing two counts of 400,000 fraud and stealing of money belonging to one Adegbite omowumi
Lawyers and watchers in the court broke into laughter as counsel to the defendant, Awokunle announced the withdrawal of his appearance from the case.
The magistrate, A.K Ajala thereby ordered the defendant to be remanded at Ilesa correctional centre and adjourned the case to 11th October 2022.
