APC Presidential Primary: Osun ALGON Congratulates Asiwaju For His Emergence

…says his victory is a testament to the quality of the party’s internal democracy

The leadership and members of Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Osun State Chapter, have congratulated the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu on his landslide victory at the just concluded Special National Convention and Presidential Primary of the Party.

Osun ALGON attributed Asiwaju’s emergence to the quality of the existing internal democracy in the ruling party saying his victory has once again shown the avowed commitment of the party to take the country to enviable heights.

The State Chapter of ALGON also felicitated with President Muhammadu Buhari, Osun Governor, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola and his colleagues, members of the party’s National Working Committee, Party leaders and members for the feat.

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu who polled a total of 1,271 votes to defeat other aspirants secured the presidential ticket of the party on Wednesday.

The ALGON’s congratulatory message was contained in a statement signed by the ALGON State Chairman, Samuel Idowu Abiodun and made available to newsmen in Osogbo, on Friday.

Osun ALGON who described Tinubu as a thoroughbred politician of ‘note’, a conqueror and indomitable fighter and crusader of democracy said his emergence will coast the party to victory in all elections particularly the next general elections, and as well bring more fortunes in no measure to the party and its loyalists across the world.

ALGON acknowledged the APC presidential standard-bearer for his ever-courageous, ever-resilient, indomitable, doggedness and multilateral prowess in all human endeavours adding that his political sagacity, tenacity and tentacles will afford the country to attain the desired goodness, abundance and prosperity.

According to ALGON, Asiwaju’s victory is a testimony to his unmatched track records, unsurpassable soaring popularity, acceptability, pedigree and antecedents.

“We congratulate our leader, mentor and benefactor, the National Leader of our great party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for clinching the presidential ticket of our great party at the just concluded presidential primary.

“We identify with you for always making us proud in all your engagements and it is our firm belief that your emergence will bring more fortunes to our party and help to record more wins in all elections particularly in the Ekiti and Osun States governorship elections and indeed next year’s general elections.

“As committed students of your political tutelage, we are assured of your capacity, competence and sagacity to take our great party to enviable heights.

“Your track records and monumental achievements as the former Lagos State Governor and member of the National Assembly were clear testimonies to the fact that your victory at the party’s primary is a round peg in a round hole.

“While we rejoice with our own, the Governor of Osun, Mr. Adegboyega Oyetola and his Governor colleagues, members of the APC National Working Committee, other leadership and members of our party across the world, we enjoin us all to work in unison to ensure victory in all elections as part of our collective quest to take the country to enviable heights”, the statement reads.
