Osun 2022: Group Expresses Concern Over APC Internal Crisis

A socio-political group, Opomulero Osun, has expressed concern over the lingering crisis within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.
The APC group while expressing concern about the disharmony within the progressive party in Osun said , if the crisis is not well managed it may affect the party in future elections.
It, however, recognizes the Governor of the state, Mr Gboyega Oyetola as the Leader of the Party in the State.
According to a Communique issued after the expanded Opomulero Osun meeting held in Osogbo, on Sunday, the group said it would do everything within its reach to reconcile all the warring members of the party within a short period of time.
In the communique jointly signed by the Chairman, Barr. Adewale Afolabi and Secretary, Mr Segun Omoworare, a copy which was made available to CityMirrorNews, the group acknowledged Leadership of Chief Bisi Akande and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in the progressive Family and APC in the State of Osun.
The communique reads:
“After exhaustive deliberations amongst its members drawn from all Local Government’s in the State of Osun, the meeting rose and resolved as follows:
“Opomulero acknowledges the Leadership of Chief Bisi Akande and Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola in the progressive Family & APC in the State of Osun.
“Opomulero recognizes the Governor of State of Osun, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola as the Leader of the Party in the State.
“Opomulero is interested in and is irrevocably committed to the sustainance of progressive Governance in the State of Osun.
“Opomulero is deeply concerned about the disharmony within the Progressive party APC in the State of Osun.
“Opomulero notes that the disharmony is capable of costing our Party dearly at future elections.
“Opomulero resolved to do everything necessary and humanly possible to ensure that the disharmony is frontally addressed and resolved to ensure Victory in next year’s Gubernatorial Election.
“Opomulero Resolved to reach out to all critical stakeholders in the Progressive family through a high powered Contact and Reconciliation Committee.
“Opomulero charges all members to return to their respective Local Governments and resume contacts and reconciliation activities.”
