Breaking: Osun Police, Local Hunters, Engage Kidnappers In Shootout, Rescue Four Abducted Victims
Four out the passengers kidnapped by suspected Gunmen at Odo-Osun around Imesi-Ile in Obokun Local Government Area of Osun have been rescued.
CityMirrorNews gathered that the abducted passengers regained their freedom through the concerted efforts of Police, local hunters, Vigilantes and members of Oodua People’s Congress.
It was gathered that the security agents stormed their hideouts and rescued four of the victims.
CityMirrorNews also gathered that the security personnels and the bandits engaged in gun battle for some minutes.
One local security according to the source sustained gunshots injuries and one other died as a result of injuries he sustained during the course of rescuing the abducted passengers.
As at the time of filling this report, Police and local hunters, Vigilantes, members of OPC and other local security personnels were still in the forest as they were still intensifing efforts to rescue the remaining kidnapped victims.
Recall that the commercial vehicle from Ekiti was going toward Ikirun through Ila road when the gunmen waylaid it at Odo-Osun and took passengers to a nearby bush.
Gunmen shot severally to force the vehicle to stop before all the passengers were whisked away.
