Surulere LG Councillors Appoint Acting Chairman

Sequel to the suspension of the Chairman of Surulere Local Government of Lagos State, Hon. Tajudeen Ajide by lawamkers of the area council, the parliamentarians have appointed the Vice Chairman, Hon Sulaiman Yusuf as the Acting Chairman of the local government.

The decision according to members of the Legislative Council takes effect immediately.

In a statement issued on Monday by the Councillors they stated that void created by the suspension of erstwhile chairman which was executed by following the laid down guidelines, it is important to fill the vacuum created.

The Legislative Arm initiated the process that resulted to the suspension of the erstwhile Executive Chairman, Hon. Tajudeen Ajide, the House therefore passed a resolution to the effect that;”

The Councillors hereby authorise that “The Vice Chairman, Hon. Sulaimon Yusuf should immediately take over the Administration of the Local Government in line with this decision an official letter would be sent to all financial institution.
