Odofin Rejoices With New Owaloko Of Iloko-Ijesha, Thanks Oyetola

The Special Adviser to the Speaker, Federal House of Representatives on Administration, Mr Seun Odofin has congratulated Prince Akeem Olusayo Ogungbangbe on his appointment as the new Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesha.

CityMirrorNews reports that the stool of Owaloko became vacant following the denise of Oba Oladele Olashore who died on June 2012.

The Government of Osun under the leadership of Governor Gboyega Oyetola had approved the appointment of Prince Ogungbangbe as the new Owaloko of Iloko-Ijesha nine years after the death of the Oba Olashore.

Odofin, in a press release issued and personally signed, said the newly appointed monarch remains the popular choice of divination and the larger majority of the people.

He further explained that Prince Ogungbangbe’ s emergence was a pure testimony that God reigns supreme in the affairs of men.

He said : “On behalf of myself and my family, I congratulate our newly appointed King who remains the popular choice of divination and the larger majority of the people, his emergence is a pure testimony that God reigns supreme in the affairs of men, i rejoice with you wholeheartedly”

He urged the new Owaloko to commit himself to carrying his subjects to a new era of peace, stability and progress in Iloko Ijesha, Osun State and Yorubaland as a whole, working with the state government and other traditional rulers to foster harmony and socio-economic development across the country.

As one of your subject, I admonish you to dedicate yourself to building on and surpassing the worthy legacies of the much-acclaimed predecessor, Late Oba Olashore. “I pray that God Almighty will grant you the immense wisdom and courage you will require to oversee further progress and greater prosperity for our people.’’

The Oriade local government born politician equally thanked Governor Adegboyega Oyetola for his statesmanship and leadership for righting the wrongs of the past, and championing the path of progress and resolving amicably the vacant position of the Owaloko stool, posterity will always be kind to you and your kindred, your administration is a people oriented one and this is a further affirmation of your ingenuity in human relations management, the statement concluded.
