15-year-old Girl Allegedly Raped, Impregnated By Octogenarian In Osun

An octogenarian, Rafiu Abimbola has reportedly raped and impregnated a 15-year-old girl in Isundunrin, a suburb town of Ejigbo, Ejigbo Local Government Area of Osun State.

According to an online news medium THESOURCE, the elderly man allegedly raped the minor on several occasions before she was impregnated.

The victim whose her name could not be mentioned due to her age was said to have been threatened by the suspect not to disclose the illicit act between him and her with anybody, saying if she does she would run mad.

Narrating the incident, one of the victim’s relatives who spoke under the condition of anonymity confirmed that the girl is four-month pregnant after she was taking a private hospital in Ejigbo for pregnancy test.

The family of the victim, it was leant reported the case at Ejigbo Police Division, Osun and the suspect was arrested on Monday but later released the same day.

The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ejigbo Police Station, Mr Adeniji Olufemi while speaking with our Correspondent on phone said he would prefer to meet our Correspondent one on one in his office to discuss the issue.

According to Olufemi, “If you need an information please come down to me one on one and if there is anything I will repose confident in the person am talking to physical” he said
