Father Arrested For Allegedly Raping, Impregnating 17-Year-old Daughter

Police in Bauchi State have arrested a 50-year-old father for repeatedly raping his 17-year-old biological daughter.

The incident occurred in Kurmi Ado Village, Ganjuwa local council of the state.

The spokesman of Bauchi State Command, Ahmed Wakil, on Friday, said that the accused father, Umar Sule, was reported to have committed the crime last November. He added that the crime was “repeatedly committed in his matrimonial bedroom”.

“Upon receipt of the report, a team of detectives was assigned to conduct a discreet investigation and arrest the accused. During interrogation, the defendant willingly admitted his wrongdoing and added that he had been molesting her several times on different occasions, which led to her pregnancy for three months, according to an examination report obtained from a medical practitioner.
