Kwara PDP Congratulates Obaseki, Sympathises With Rainstorm Victims

Kwara state chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has congratulated Governor Godwin Obaseki on his victory at the just concluded Edo state governorship poll.

The party in a congratulatory message signed by its chairman, Engr. Kola Shittu described Obaseki’s victory as remarkable.

The party also congratulated members, leaders and supporters of the PDP as well as the entire people of Edo state, noting that Obaseki’s victory at the poll could not have been possible without the support and resilience of the people.

It said the resolve of the people of Edo to re-elect Obaseki was in recognition of his performance in office in the last four years and urged the governor to continue to deliver dividends of democracy to the people.

Thee PDP also expressed its sympathy with the victims of Saturday’s rainstorm in Ilorin and other parts of Kwara state.

It urged the victims to accept the incident in good faith and seek solace in God.

The party, however, called on relevant government agencies and well meaning individuals to come to the aid of the victims.
