DG/CEO NACETEM Bags Fellowship Of Institute Of Strategic Entrepreneurs Of Nigeria Award
The Director-General/Chief Executive Officer, Engineer Professor Okechukwu Ukwuoma, bags the Fellowship of Institute of Strategic Entrepreneurs of Nigeria (ISEN) on Saturday, 19th September, 2020 at Bridge Waters Hotel, Okpara Avenue, Enugu.
The Fellowship, which is the highest rank of the Institute, was conferred on him in recognition of his immense contributions to entrepreneurship development and education in Nigeria. Professor Ukwuoma, an erstwhile Director of Institute of Entrepreneurship Studies at Enugu State University of Technology, Enugu, attributes the honour to God’s grace and his unalloyed commitment to using entrepreneurship as a means to mitigate unemployment and create jobs for Nigerians.
He said the award is a clarion call to do more for Nigeria in the area of wealth creation ‘ I see this honour as a clarion call to continue to use entrepreneurship as a tool of wealth creation. I want to assure that the National Centre for Technology Management, an Agency I head, will not relent in creating opportunities for Nigerians with technological entrepreneurship.”
He further said that entrepreneurship education will be more meaningful and impactful when trainees are supported with starter’s packs. In his words, he said ‘ This will not only make entrepreneurship attractive, but will also jump start the new entrants in their entrepreneurial pursuits’.
The ceremony had in attendance other eminent personalities such as Professor Adaeze who was also conferred with the Fellowship of the Institute.
