Oyerinde who stated that he was looking forward to the improved fortune of the party in the town and its suburbs enjoined the two leaders to let the settlement of the rift be final in the overall interest of the people.

The former political aspirant during the last general elections who was full of accolades for Governor Oyetola, Famodun and the former feuding political leaders said, the settlement was a sign that God Almighty has interest in the political affairs of the town.

The former aspirant enjoined the supporters of the two leaders to be steadfast in their effort to embrace peace as there cannot be a worthy substitute for a peaceful atmosphere.

According to him, “It should be clear to the numerous followers of the two foremost political leaders in Ikirun that it’s the grass that suffers when two elephants fight.

“Let our commitment to our party be total; and let’s strategise on how to perpetually secure an enviable position for our party in our town.

Oyerinde prayed that the already healed political wound won’t have cause for it to reopen again by the special grace of God.
