Two UNIOSUN Students Docked For Alleged Assault, Unlawful Society

Two students of Osun State University, Osogbo have been arraigned before an Osogbo Magistrate’s Court for allegedly assaulting one Bode Olowookere on the university campus.
The accused persons: Ogunosun Timileyin and Owonifaari Samson; were also accused of unlawful society when they were dragged to court on Thursday.
The police prosecutor, Mr Muyiwa Ogunleye told the court that the duo committed the offence on February 6, 2018 at Osun State University Osogbo.
According to the charge sheet, the alleged offences contravened the provision of Sections 355 and 64 (a)(b) of the criminal Code Cap 34, Vol II, Laws of Osun State of Nigeria.
But the accused persons pleaded not guilty to the two count charges of assault and unlawful society leveled against them by the police.
The defence counsels: Messrs Adekunle Faleti and D. D. Awoyemi, urged the court to grant their clients bail in the most library terms.
Magistrate Risikat Olayemi thereby granted the accused persons bail in the sum of #20,000 each with one surety each in like sum.
The Magistrate adjourned the case till January 16, 2020 for hearing.
