NASS Election: Osun Deputy Chief Whip, Ogunkanmi Congratulates Lawan, Gbajabiamila

The Deputy Chief Whip of the Osun State House of Assembly, Hon Gbenga Ogunkanmi has congratulated Sen. Ahmed Lawan and Rep. Femi Gbajabiamila on their victories as Senate president and Speaker House of representatives respectively.

Ogunkanmi who described the emergence as reward of loyalty said the duo of Lawan and Gbajabiamila had done well tremendously well during their stay in the 8th national assembly.

The Honourable representing Ayedire constituency at the Osun house of Assembly described their emergence as a hope for Nigeria’s democracy adding that the new assembly leaders would use their legislative experience to facilitate mutual understanding between the Executive and Legislature.

In a media chat briefly after the inauguration of 9th National Assembly in Abuja on Tuesday, the Osun Assembly Deputy Chief Whip also felicitated with Dr. Ajibola Basiru, Senator representing Osun central Senatorial district and Senator Adelere Oriolowo representing Osun West Senatorial District for their inauguration.

He charged them to justify their election by contributing their quota to the development of their constituencies and the nation at large.

He also congratulated Hon. Yinusa Amobi representing Ayedire, Iwo and Olaoluwa Federal Constituency who was also inaugurated as a member of the House of Reps.

Ogunkanmi prayed for the success of the APC federal lawmakers urging them to put their best to support the development of the country.

He admonished Nigerian citizens to pray for continued development and promote the peace and progress of the country.
