Health Minister, Rescues ‘BABA SUWE’, to Receive Medical Treatment In LUTH
The Honourable Minister of Health, Prof. Isaac Adewole, has come to the aid of the ailing theatre practitioner cum comedian Babatunde Omidina popularly known as Baba Suwe as he directed that he should immediately be taken to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital, (LUTH) Idi Araba for first class medical attention and comprehensive treatment.
President of the Theatre Arts and Movie Practitioners Association of Nigeria, Otunba Bolaji Amusan, who led Baba Suwe to the hospital complex confirmed the development to newsmen.
This intervention by Adewole was a follow – up to an online publication about the deteriorating health condition of the nollywood star, after which he personally spoke to Bolaji Amusan (Baba Latin) to link up with the Chief Medical Director of LUTH, Dr. Chris Bode, so as to give the best attention to the thespian, as all bills of the comedian will be footed by his ministry.
Adewole further promised the association his full support as it embarks on health insurance policy for the members. Amusan, who was really appreciative of the Minister’s quick response, thanked the Federal Government for giving the association a listening ear.
He also praised ace actor, Muyiwa Adegoke, aka Londoner, for his efforts too, adding that the kind gesture of the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, those of others actors and all well meaning Nigerians home and abroad were appreciated too.
