During the campaign, the first first point of call was the palace of the District Head, Daffo District of Bokkos LGA, Nda Dauda Maren, Ciroma Dahwa who received the campaign team with his Chiefs.

The ADP governorship candidate, Jon Temlong said, “We have a paradigm shift in ADP. We come to your villages to have personal interaction with the people instead of bringing them to the LGA secretariat.”

He said that that his priority is the security of lives and property of Plateau people. “First is security and sustainable peace. ADP govt will defend and protect you. It will bring back the dignity of Plateau. With that, good governance and development would come. We want to give a future to our youths, women, people living with disability and to Plateau generally.

“All people around the world will come back and invest in our tourism. I am a General and Commander. I’ve defeated enemies before and I can do it again, by the grace of God” he noted. The district head appreciated the team and prayed for their success.

From the palace, the campaign team headed to the Daffo Mangai Old Market Square where terminal supporters were waiting. The team was welcomed by the Daffo dancers through an entertaining cultural dance.

The ADP state youth leader, Mr Godwin Audu, ADP Plateau Central Senatorial candidate, Engr Manasseh Damulak, General Temlong and other party leaders addressed the gathering and stated that ADP government will provide jobs, roads, hospitals and improve education if elected. They noted that there was no credible alternative to ADP in the state.

At Mbar, the ADP House of Representatives candidate for Mangu/ Bokkos, Hon Chief Samuel Pulkat (Talba 1) encouraged people to come out and vote ADP and not to sell their vote.

Temlong said, “We must give our children a future. Once we get security, tourism development, education, health good governance will come. I want these people to be in Abuja to support me. When Buhari came to Jos, they were killing and Lalong did not say anything about it.”

At Mushere, the hometown of the former governor of the state, Joshua Dariye, the team
was welcomed by mammoth crowd.

The ADP deputy governorship candidate, Dr Daniel Mwanmut who addressed the gathering in their local language, “I am at home. These are my people. They will sleep with their two eyes closed because they would be protected. Development would come. Abandoned roads would be completed in the area. Vote for ADP and the story would change.”

Temlong said, “One thing that we have decided to do is to bring our campaign to your door. We want to meet you in your own domain. To see you, interact with you and know your problem. We want to meet people down to the ward level.

ADP government will give you security. The people of Plateau state have suffered enough because of insecurity. Plateau people are currently in IDP camps. When I am elected, that will be gone. Once there’s security, development will come. Elderly people, youths, women, people living with disability have special place in our program. Look at the schools. This school (LEA primary school, Mushere) should not be where our children are learning in the 21st century. We will improve agriculture and bring employment. Vote ADP on February 16 for our Rep’s and Senatorial candidate’s and on March 2, for governorship.

The campaign team moved from there to Government Secondary School, Gopay in Bokkos LGA where the governorship candidate said that 50 per cent affirmative action for youths and women would be implemented if elected. He promised the gathering a new Plateau.
