New year: Olowu Felicitates With Nigerians, Owu Kingdom

A Traditional Ruler in Osun State, the Olowu of Owukuta, Oba Hammed Adekunle Oyelude Tegbosun III has congratulated Nigerians on the occasion of 2018 New Year celebrations.
The monarch stated this in a new year message signed by his chief press secretary, Alabi Olayemi and made available to CityMirrorNews in Osogbo on Monday.
Oba Oyelude expressed his unflinching delight with Nigerians in the country especially people of Osun State and Owu Kuta Kingdom to have leaped through another brand New Year despite all odds.
The Monarch observed that, although 2017 was full of some degree of challenges which nearly put faith and trust of many Nigerians and Owu Kuta people into a litmus test and most importantly the hope of Nigeria as a whole in a serious jeopardy.
“Noting that but with God’s intervention and hardcore patriotism of Nigerians, it sustained another new year which according to him,has indeed marked God’s knowledge of Nigeria’s heterogeneous togetherness and existence of the Kingdom which he was proud to be one its taditional rulers.
He also commended the resilience and doggedness of Nigerians in the likes of civil servants, artisans, religious institutions, civil right organisations, political office holders, people of Owu and other stakeholders in the country for the stabilizing roles played even in the face of thick economic hardship.
“I must laud the thick skin of Nigerians and Owu people towards the trying period of year 2017 which threatened brimstone and fire on all and sundry as well as Nigeria’s Integration.”
“I therefore thank them for the inner strength exhibited by all at ensuring that Nigeria and Owu Kuta reamin peacful and steady in focus of purpose to govern him and governments at all capacities”, he added.
Oba Oyelude maintained further that there is a need for all Nigerians, irrespective of tribe and religion to continue in demonstrating the same spirit of patriotism and self-sacrifice to governments at all levels saying by this principle, year 2018 will usher in a new stronger and better socio economic development for the country.
“I would like to charge Nigerians and good people of my great Kingdom not to see this season as a merry making alone but also a moment of special reflection for a way forward through fire-branding Prayers for her sustainability in Year 2018 and beyond.
