The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in collaboration with the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy, Adegboyega Oyetola, and the party’s 2026 governorship candidate, Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), has mobilised 10,000 canvassers for a door-to-door campaign to secure President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.

The state APC Chairman, Tajudeen Lawal, disclosed this on Friday while briefing journalists, saying the party had concluded arrangements to deploy the canvassers across the 30 local government areas of Osun State.

Lawal said the initiative was designed to take the achievements and policies of the Tinubu administration to residents at the grassroots and strengthen support for the President ahead of the January 2027 general election.

He said, “We have mobilised about 10,000 members of our party for a door-to-door campaign for President Bola Tinubu to take the good deeds of his administration to the grassroots across the 30 local government areas of Osun State.

“The reforms by the President are pruning the economy and paving the way for strong generational wealth.”

The APC chairman explained that the mobilisation was backed by the party’s leaders, including Oyetola and Oyebamiji, adding that the canvassers would be formally inaugurated in Osogbo.

On Governor Ademola Adeleke’s appointment as the coordinator of the Presidential Campaign Council in Osun, Lawal said the APC leadership had resolved to work with the governor to ensure Tinubu’s victory.

He said the party appreciated Adeleke’s decision to support the President’s re-election bid but urged him to ensure that APC leaders and members were adequately incorporated into the campaign structure.

“The leadership of the APC in the state appreciated the resolve of Governor Adeleke to work for the re-election of President Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential election,” he said.

Lawal, however, stressed that the party would sustain its mobilisation efforts for its candidates contesting National Assembly and State House of Assembly seats in the forthcoming elections.

He disclosed that the party had resolved to establish a campaign council specifically for its National Assembly and House of Assembly candidates.

According to him, the meeting also resolved that APC structures at all levels should be deployed to drive the party’s activities and mobilisation efforts ahead of the elections.

The APC chairman also expressed appreciation to Tompolo for his support for the PBAT Door-to-Door Campaign initiative.
