The Osun State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has expressed its readiness to collaborate with Governor Ademola Adeleke towards securing the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the January 16, 2027 presidential election.

The party, however, urged the governor to ensure genuine inclusivity by carrying along APC leaders and members in the state in the proposed collaboration.

The Osun APC made the position known in a statement issued on Friday and signed by its State Chairman, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, following a meeting of the party’s State Working Committee held on Wednesday.

According to the party, it has mapped out various strategies and activities aimed at mobilising support for Tinubu’s re-election, adding that its structures across the state are already working towards achieving the objective.

The party said it resolved at the meeting to work with Adeleke in support of Tinubu, while appreciating the governor’s decision to support the President’s re-election bid.

It, however, called on Adeleke to demonstrate genuine commitment to the proposed partnership by ensuring that all relevant stakeholders, particularly APC leaders and members in Osun, are adequately involved.

The statement partly read, “The leadership of the APC in the state appreciated the resolve of Governor Adeleke to work for the re-election of President Tinubu in the forthcoming presidential election, enjoining him to do everything necessary in order to incorporate all the necessary stakeholders, including the APC leaders and members, in the interest of a desired goal.”

The party also reaffirmed its commitment to working vigorously for the return of Tinubu on the platform of the APC, stressing that its mobilisation efforts would extend to other elective positions.

It disclosed that the meeting resolved to mobilise support for all APC candidates contesting National Assembly and State House of Assembly seats in the forthcoming elections.

As part of its preparations, the party said it would establish a campaign council to coordinate activities for its National Assembly and House of Assembly candidates.

It further resolved that party structures at all levels would be deployed to drive its campaign and mobilisation efforts ahead of the elections.

The Osun APC also commended its leaders for their efforts towards resolving the internal challenges confronting the party, expressing optimism that their interventions would strengthen the party and advance its collective interest.
