Osun 2026: APC Leaders Take Mobilisation Campaign To Ife Federal Constituency
-Call For Serious Electorate Mobilisation For AMBO
Igbimo-Agba Osun, the apex body of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State have called on party members in Ife Federal Constituency to intensify grassroots mobilisation and remain united ahead of the August 15 governorship election.
The elders made the call during a strategic meeting held in Ife Central Local Government Area, where they met with party leaders, elected officials, aspirants and stakeholders to assess the party’s level of preparedness for the forthcoming poll.
Speaking at the meeting, the member representing Ife Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Taofeek Abimbola Ajilesoro, assured the visiting elders that the APC remained firmly in control of the constituency and was well-positioned to secure a convincing victory at the governorship election.
Ajilesoro said the visit by the party elders was aimed at evaluating the readiness of party members and encouraging them to sustain the momentum ahead of the election.
“The Igbimo Agba from across Osun State came to Ife today to meet with us and assess our level of preparation for the August 15 governorship election. They wanted to know whether we are ready to deliver victory for our party. We assured them that Ife Federal Constituency remains predominantly APC and that we are determined to record a resounding victory with a very wide margin,” Ajilesoro said.
Also addressing journalists, the APC Igbimo Agba Leader in Odo-Otin Local Government, Pa Shuaib Oyedokun, said the statewide tour was initiated by the elders themselves to encourage party members and strengthen the APC ahead of both the governorship and future elections.
He explained that the elders were engaging aspirants, office holders, canvassers and grassroots leaders to ensure every segment of the party worked harmoniously towards achieving victory.
“This meeting is an initiative of the APC elders’ committee in Osun State. We have eminent personalities and experienced leaders who decided to visit our members across the state to encourage them to work harder, particularly ahead of the governorship election and subsequent elections. We are appealing to everyone to remain committed to the party and put in their best efforts,” Pa Oyedokun noted.
He further stressed the importance of reconciliation within the party, noting that unity remained the APC’s greatest strength ahead of the polls.
“We are preaching peace everywhere we go because reconciliation is very important. We are encouraging our office holders, aspirants, canvassers and members to work together and make every party member happy. From what we have seen today, the atmosphere is peaceful and encouraging, and we believe this unity will translate into victory,” he mentioned.
The APC House of Assembly candidate for Ife North State Constituency, Awotidoye Rufus Ayokunu described the meeting as timely, saying it provided an opportunity for the elders to evaluate the relationship among party leaders and aspirants within the constituency.
According to him, the visit reaffirmed the commitment of all stakeholders to work together in the interest of the party.
“Our leaders, the Igbimo Agba, came to see the true state of our party in Ife Federal Constituency. They wanted to know how far we have gone in strengthening the relationship among aspirants and leaders, and whether we are genuinely working together as one united team. We are happy to tell them that our members are committed to the success of the APC.”
Awotidoye added that the major message from the elders was that every party member must return to their respective wards and intensify mobilisation ahead of the election.
“The key takeaway from today’s meeting is that everyone must go back to their respective local government areas and wards to begin serious mobilisation. The elders made it clear that August 15 is a must-win election, and that only unity, commitment and hard work at the grassroots will guarantee the victory we all desire.” He added.
