Igbajo Achievers Lions Club, Amorit International Sign MoU ON Vision And Eye Screening Project
Igbajo Achievers Lions Club, District 404B2, has entered into a partnership with Amorit International Limited for a Vision and Eye Screening Project aimed at promoting eye health, preventing avoidable blindness and extending humanitarian service to members of selected communities.
The partnership, formalised through a Memorandum of Understanding, is in line with Lions International’s service focus on vision. Under the agreement, the project will provide free or subsidised vision screening and basic eye tests, create awareness on eye health, and refer cases that require further treatment.
Speaking on the partnership, the Charter President of Igbajo Achievers Lions Club, Lion Yinka-Diamond Ishola, said the MoU forms part of the club’s ongoing commitment to advancing major Lions International service goals. He noted that vision and eye screening remain an important part of Lions Club’s humanitarian work, especially because early detection can help prevent avoidable eye problems and improve the quality of life of beneficiaries.
The Managing Director of Amorit International Limited, Prince Kayode Oyewole, said the decision to partner with the club was driven by his desire to add lasting humanitarian and philanthropic value to society. According to him, service to humanity remains a personal calling.
“I place value and premium on every individual regardless of their status. Therefore, any activity that advances the course of humanity is my calling,” he said.
Prince Oyewole also assured that Amorit International Limited would remain committed to the full implementation of the agreement. The company is expected to provide qualified optometrists, eye care personnel, screening equipment, eye health education support and referral guidance for cases that require advanced care.
The event was also witnessed by the Governor-Elect, District 404 B-6, Nigeria, Lion Oluomo Sunday Akere, who expressed joy that such a meaningful service initiative was taking shape. He commended both parties for giving practical expression to the ideals of Lions Club International and pledged his support towards the successful delivery of the project.
Under the MoU, Igbajo Achievers Lions Club will handle beneficiary mobilisation, publicity, community liaison, venue support, crowd management and service reporting, while Amorit International Limited will lead the professional eye screening and care support. The project is scheduled to run in August 2026 and August 2027, with room for renewal by mutual agreement.
The partnership marks another important step in community service, public health support and the shared commitment of both organisations to improving lives through purposeful humanitarian action.
