Osun: APC Chieftain, Eniade Donates Equipment To NSCDC
-Calls For Community Support
A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress in Osun state, Mr Damilare Eniade has stressed the need for citizens to assist security agencies to ensure proper policing of their environment.
He disclosed this after donating office equipment to the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corp, NSCDC Odo-Otin command in Okuku, headquarters of Odo-Otin local government.
According to him, the government alone cannot provide adequate equipment for security outfits, hence the need for individuals to intervene by donating within their capacity.
While tasking residents to be vigilant and report suspicious persons to law enforcement agents, he noted that failure to do so always leads toa security breach which impact on everyone negatively.
His words, “my being here is to lead by example to show that security is our collective duty and those who specialise in securing us are human and must be assisted by reporting those with suspicious motives within our environment.
“If we fail to report criminals or crime, we might end up being the victims of such nefarious activities hence, it is better to nip crime in the bud.
“What we brought to this office is to aid their working condition, make your work place conducive and encourage you to give the best for the sake of the masses.”
Responding, the command officer lauded Eniade for his contribution to the welfare of officers at the command, reiterating the command readiness to always ensure that the people sleeps with two eyes closed.
